FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 17, 2010 Hal Hays Construction Completes $4.8M Design Build Child Development Center Project at MCAS Yuma, AZRiverside, California-June 17, 2010- Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) completed a new $4.8M Child Development Center located at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, on April 8, 2010. HHCI’s work included building a single story, 12,000 sq ft. annex building that provided 102 additional spaces for new enrollment. Upon its completion, HHCI joined the staff of NAVFAC Southwest and the community of MCAS Yuma in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to unveil the new Child Development Center self certified at LEED Gold. This contract was awarded as a task order under the Navy’s IDIQ MACC for New Construction and Design Build for Construction, Renovation, Revitalization, Alteration and Repairs program. Hal Hays Construction earned contract award based upon evaluation of its experience, past performance, management plan, conceptual drawings and price. This project has been submitted for a Navy Safety Through Awards and Recognition (STAR) Award as a result of the safe work on the project.
