Riverside, CA – August 22, 2016 – The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) selected HHCI as the 2016 Minority Construction Firm of the Year! This award pays tribute to minority entrepreneurs who have demonstrated industry leadership, business success, economic impact, and community involvement.
MBDA will honor the 2016 Awardees during the 2016 National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, an annually designated week (October 23 through 29, 2016) recognizing the nation’s minority entrepreneurs. During MED Week, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the MBDA National Director will honor HHCI at the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) National convention in Chicago, Illinois. MBDA has held the MED week celebration in partnership with the National Minority Supplier Development Council for more than 30 years.

About the National Minority Enterprise Development Week (MED Week)
Since 1983, every president has issued a Presidential Proclamation designating a National Minority Enterprise Development Week to recognize the contributions of the minority business community to the U.S. economy. MBDA has led the National MED Week program to convene business leaders, honor outstanding MBEs and advocates, promote business opportunities, and report industry trends.
