Riverside, CA – Friday, January 12, 2024 – Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI), a committed member of the Riverside community, is proud to announce the successful completion of its special holiday “Blanket Drive” for the students at Sherman Indian High School (SIHS). This heartwarming initiative resulted in the delivery of over 250 blankets to the students, offering them comfort and warmth during the chilly winter months. On Wednesday, January 10th, a dedicated team of 11 employees from Hal Hays Construction, Inc. visited SIHS and hand-delivered blankets to the students who had just returned to campus after their Christmas break, showcasing the company’s values of community support and collective action.
The blanket drive, which saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 55 HHCI employees, involved purchasing, wrapping, and personally delivering the blankets to the students. After sharing the donation drive details on our LinkedIn platform, Clear Cloud Solutions, another local, Native-American owned firm, proudly joined our efforts and sent over 45 blankets towards our drive. The commitment and generosity of the blanket drive participants were the driving force behind this initiative.
Brian Hayden, a teacher at Sherman Indian High School, expressed his gratitude, noting that the students had come back to dormitories without heating. “The blankets came at a crucial time and are a very timely and much appreciated gift,” said Mr. Hayden.
