Hal Hays Construction Inc., to provide “disaster relief” efforts in the Santa Rosa, California area due to wildfires.

Hal Hays Construction Inc., is proud to participate in a three (3) year Master Task Agreement to provide disaster relief efforts due to the Santa Rosa Wildfires in California.  Hal Hays Construction, Inc., will provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, tools, machinery and expertise required to restore water mains and water services in the burn areas in Santa Rosa, including: Mark West Estates, Larkfield Estates, Carriage Lane, Upper Wikiup and other areas as required.

 

Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) maintains extensive disaster relief and emergency response experience in rehabilitation of burn areas, forest service road maintenance, water, storm, utility & sewer systems repairs, repair and prevention of erosion and restoration of structures, drains & flumes.  With a dedicated response team including dispatch offices, work order tracking, specially designated fleet trucks, and crews ready to mobilize for emergency response tasks, safety-related tasks, critical facility, and critical asset response requirements.

HHCI Receives Letter of Recommendation from the Ontario Police Department!

Hal Hays Construction, Inc., (HHCI) receives letter of recommendation from the Ontario Police Department for outstanding performance on the Police Headquarters Renovation project in Ontario, CA, completed in December 2017.

The $2.4M project for the renovation of the Police Department Headquarters, comprised of approximately 11,000 SF of tenant improvements, including renovations to the Dispatch Center, Watch Commander’s Office, Briefing Room, Storage Rooms, and private offices. The overall building is a 2-story, 160,000 SF facility. The work performed consisted of tenant improvements and the infrastructure for an extensive owner-provided Audio-Visual system, 24-hour HVAC system in equipment room, and decorative ceiling systems with specialty lighting. The Police Headquarters facility was fully occupied and operational during the entire construction project, requiring complex coordination and sequencing of construction tasks to mitigate any construction impacts to operations.

HHCI Awarded the Palm Springs Police Department Remodel Project!

The City of Palm Springs awarded Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) a $3,381,830 contract for the Police Department Remodel Project. The work comprises of a complete remodel and renovation of the Police Department Training Center (including Library), Lobby and Records Department and the Detective Bureau Department. Hal Hays Construction Inc., demonstrated compliance with the City’s Local Business Preference by identifying local sub-contractors who will perform 14% of the total contract. .

HHCI is excited to take part in this very important facility project for the Police Department, and looks forward to providing the City of Palm Springs with on-time and 100% accident-free project completion.

HHCI 100% Accident Free on over 50,000 accumulated man hours on site!

The Fresno Army Reserve Center team has achieved a major accomplishment on their project. The team has now delivered over 50,000 accumulated man hours on site 100% accident-free. Not even a first aid incident!
This is a very difficult task to accomplish with a site spanning over two acres, dealing with 110+ degree heat, overseeing all types of construction types from underground, to concrete, steel erection, crane work, etc.

Hal Hays Construction Inc. is extremely proud of the team and honored them with special t-shirts and a delicious barbeque to memorialize this incredible milestone.

Congrats to the HHCI team, keep up the great work and safe practices!

HHCI is serving as prime contractor to construct a 400-member Army Reserve Center for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fresno, CA. This $25.4M project includes a Training Building (47,650 SF), Maintenance Building (14,500 SF), and a Storage Building (2,700 SF).

HHCI is proud to support to the Army with its key facility project program.

HHCI Awarded $99M Navy MACC Contract for Demolition Services!

Riverside, CA – September 14, 2017

HHCI Awarded $99M Navy MACC Contract for Demolition Services!

The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)-Southwest awarded Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) a 5 year, $99M contract for building/structure demolition and site preparation, including utility capping, paving, and landscaping. Work will be performed at NAVFAC Southwest installations in California; Arizona; Nevada; Utah; Colorado; and New Mexico. Future task orders on the contract will be valued from $100,000 to $10,000,000.

NAVFAC received 23 proposals from potential offerors. The proposals were evaluated based upon the offeror’s relevant project experience, project performance, safety, small business utilization, and proposed task order pricing. NAVFAC selected a total of 6 awardees who demonstrated the highest ratings and best value to the military.

Congrats to the HHCI team! We look forward to supporting NAVFAC on its mission to reduce inferior buildings/structures and provide environmental rehabilitation services for its real estate assets!

(HHCI) an $8,268,130 contract for Deuel Vocational Institution (DVI) Solid Cell Front Conversion Project. The maximum security housing unit work scope includes replacement of barred cell doors and fronts with solid steel units and new detention hardware, HVAC upgrades, installation of new Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler systems, and upgrading of cell lighting fixtures.

Riverside, CA – July 10, 2017 –Hal Hays Construction, Inc. began work on the San Jacinto Road Extension project, a $4.3M design build project at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA. The project’s work scope includes (1) design development, (2) demolition, (3) utility relocations, (4) re-grading, (5) new storm drains, (6) electrical work, (7) paving to reverse crown slope on San Jacinto Road to Wire Mountain Road intersection, (8) traffic signals, (9) street lighting and associated underground electrical work, (10) electrical equipment installation, (11) slurry seal, (12) new road surface transition, (13) striping, and (14) signage.

The HHCI team looks forward to supporting the US Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton on this mission-critical MILCON project to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

HHCI Awarded Ontario Police Department Headquarter Renovation Project!

Riverside, CA – July 3, 2017 – The City of Ontario awarded Hal Hays Construction, Inc. a $2.16M project for the renovation of the Ontario Police Department Headquarters in Ontario, CA, comprised of approximately 11,000 SF of tenant improvements, including renovations to the Dispatch Center, Watch Commander’s Office, Briefing Room, Storage Rooms, and private offices.

Added improvements to the facility’s infrastructure include new Audio-Visual System, HVAC upgrades, and new specialty lighting. The Police Headquarters facility will be fully occupied and operational during the entire construction project.

Hal Hays Construction Inc. was one of 8 firms pre-qualified by the City of Ontario to bid this project.

HHCI Welcomes Jeff Geist as Company President!

Riverside, CA – April 24, 2017 – HHCI announces the selection of Mr. Jeff Geist for the position of President of Hal Hays Construction. Mr. Geist recently served as Vice President of Ames Construction, Inc., with previous positions at Granite Construction, Los Angeles Engineering and Teichert Construction.

His notable construction projects include:

  • $263M I-15 Express Lane Design Build project
  • $40M San Juan Creek Channel Design Build project
  • Numerous Caltrans paving projects requiring an annual placement of over 1,000,000 tons of asphalt in various locations throughout Northern California
  • $400M Land Development & Residential Infrastructure programs for Centex, Taylor-Woodrow, and Meritage residential builders

As a lifelong construction professional, Mr. Geist earned his experience through a variety of positions including Laborer, Operating Engineer, Foreman, Estimator, Operations Manager, General Manager and Vice President. His extensive experience also encompasses HMA plant and quarry operations as well as fire and earthquake emergency response programs.
